Opening Reception

During the month of January 2012,  Stratford artist Susan Linsley will be showing her series of paintings of shells in the gallery space at the Case Memorial Library in Orange, CT.  Each shell is rendered in detail and juxtaposed on the canvas with a relevant watery motif.  Linsley is a graduate of Brown University and Rhode Island College, where she acquired a BFA in Painting.  Since her retirement from the management of precious metals laboratories, she has pursued her painting in a studio in her home. Preferring non-traditional and non-representational themes her primary interest is in the symbiosis of line, color and shape.  Her works are in collections in Connecticut, Florida and California.  She has previously exhibited at the Westport Art Center, Westport, CT
