Learn About (and make) Terrariums

Visit the Kellogg Environmental Center, Derby, on March 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. and meet Christine Thompson from Marcucio Gardens of Derby who will share the history of terrariums and instruct you on how to make your own to take home.

Terrariums allow people to raise tropical plants in temperate areas for year round enjoyment in homes or office space.

Bring your own glass or plastic container and Ms. Thompson will explain the design principals to create and care for an effective terrarium and help you create your own from provided materials.
