A Night to Remember (Sold Out)

Come enjoy an evening of festivities at the Benefit Fundraiser for Bob Crocco on March 4th.

By Stefanie Crocco

“50/50 raffle, come buy your tickets at the 50/50 raffle booth,” booms from the speakers continuously at the Orange Fireman’s Carnival, just like clockwork. Some of you may already be pointing your fingers at , the voice of the raffle tent. And for all of you are scratching your heads, Bob, a loyal citizen and helping hand, has been making his way through Orange over the past few decades from volunteering at the town functions to organizing the Summer Concerts at the gazebo. He’s hard to miss and if you’ve never met him, well you’re missing out.

For almost two years now, Bob has been suffering from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This deadly disease affects muscle control and eventually, paralyzes its victims. There is no cure for the disease, but there is hope and at this moment, there is time.

So on Friday, March 4, Bob’s friends and family are inviting everyone to come to the Italian American Club, 84 Chase Lane, West Haven, from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and participate in a fundraiser in Bob’s honor. The RumRunners will provide live music and there will be a raffle, food, beer, wine, and soda available to all guests. The fundraiser, also, provides an opportunity for all of Bob’s friends to enjoy a night of laughter, fun and to make new memories for years to come.

Tickets are only $40 and will help Bob and his family with medical expenses and necessary modifications to the house to make living easier for Bob as he fights this disease.
