The Block that Rocks: 10th Annual Block Party this Weekend

Neighborhood will shut down for all day party on Saturday.

Sometimes fences make for good relationships between neighbors, and sometimes, nice people who get along make good neighbors. 

The latter is the case on Burning Tree Drive where the entire neighborhood will be celebrating this weekend. If you happen to be driving by, here's the scoop:

The 10th Annual Block that Rocks Block Party at the south end of Burning Tree Drive just off of South Greenbrier will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24 (weather permitting).

The party begins at 2 p.m. and goes until the neighbors are too tired to have any more fun.

Neighbors will take turns manning the grill, the Holdens from Buttermilk Farm will be giving hay rides around 3 p.m., a DJ will play from 2:30-5:30 p.m.

In the evening there will be an outdoor movie for the kids and firepits.

A local liquor store may be coming to run a wine/beer tasting and there will be face painting.

This year, the neighbors even created t-shirts to honor their 10th anniversary.
