Police: Avoid Lambert Road During Upcoming Construction

Orange Police provide a timeline and additional information about the paving project.

The following is a press release from the Orange Police Department:

The Town of Orange has contracted with Garrity Asphalt Reclaiming and Tilcon Construction to reconstruct Lambert Road in its entirety.

The project will begin on Monday, Aug. 19, and conclude on Friday, Aug. 30, weather permitting.

Garrity will begin the milling of the road surface on Monday, Aug. 19, at 7 a.m. They will start at the Boston Post Road and proceed north; they anticipate the process to take 3-4 days.

Orange Town Highway will provide flaggers for the project. The milled road is uneven and rough and storm drains will be elevated.

Residents should avoid Lambert Road whenever possible during the reconstruction process, as there will be intermittent closures of sections of roadway.

Drivers are urged to use extreme caution when driving on Lambert Road during this time period. Alternate routes are Orange Center Road (Route 152) and Racebrook Road (Route 114).
