ConnJam: Boy Scouts Take Over High Plains
For the third consecutive year, Orange will host this huge Boy Scout event.
The 2012 Boy Scouts of America ConnJam event runs from Friday afternoon May 11 through Sunday morning on the Orange Fairgrounds on Orange Center Road. The public is welcome to attend on Saturday.
"We currently have more than 2,044 scouts registered that will be camping over the entire weekend. And another 400 day visitors already signed up to attend Saturday," said Jeff Cap, ConnJam 2012 Committee Liaison. "This event only takes place once every three years in Connecticut. The town of Orange has been very lucky with being able to host this event now three times in a row!"
Cap provided the following schedule of behind-the-scenes work, so residents will know what is happening, and will be able to avoid any potential traffic delays.

BSA Council - Setup takes place during day on grounds
BSA Council - People start arriving at 3 PM
Orange Police Department - Traffic Control on Orange Center Road starting 3 PM
BSA Council - Visitors arrive from Orange Center Road in to HPCC right hand side next to power lines
Orange Schools - Overnight/weekend visitors are to park at MLT School on the soccer fields – Need gates unlocked/opened
