Coast Guard Foundation Hires Susan Ludwig

Stonington, Conn. – The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced today the addition of Susan Ludwig to its staff as Regional Director of Philanthropy. Based in Fairfield County, Ms. Ludwig will work in the northeastern United States, concentrating on New York, Connecticut and New Jersey to engage individual, corporation and foundation donors and prospects to broaden the reach of the Foundation in the region.

“It is my pleasure to welcome Susan Ludwig to the Coast Guard Foundation, said Anne B. Brengle, president, Coast Guard Foundation. “Her extensive business experience in the Northeast and the greater New York City area will allow her to gain immediate traction working with donors to help the Foundation bring quality programs to Coast Guard members and their families who live and work in this area. We are pleased to have her on our team.”

Ms. Ludwig Joins the Coast Guard Foundation after six years in development positions for the Norwalk Hospital Foundation. Prior to her philanthropy work, she held sales positions at IBM and Apple.

For over 40 years, the Coast Guard Foundation has been committed to inspiring leadership, learning and a proud legacy of service to our nation by supporting the men of women of the United States Coast Guard. The Foundation provides higher education grants to enlisted personnel, reservists and their children, higher education financial support for families of Coast Guard members lost in the line of duty, financial relief to Coast Guard families who have lost possessions in natural disasters, and support for morale programs, including funding recreation, exercise and family-oriented facilities.
