Orange Holiday Festival & Tree Lighting

The Town of Orange Annual Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting will take place Sunday, December 2, 2012 on and around the Orange Town Green from 3-5 pm.  All are welcomed to attend and activities are free of charge. 

The Annual Gingerbread House Contest will be featured in the Clark Building between 3-5 pm.  Friends of all ages are invited to enter a gingerbread house creation.  Prizes will be awarded.  Entries may be dropped off at 2:00 pm on December 2nd and must be picked up by 6 pm.

Visitors may tour the Stone-Otis House to learn what a typical country holiday was like.  The CT Yuletide Carolers will provide musical entertainment around the town buildings and at the Stone-Otis House from 3:30-5 pm. 

The Academy Building and antique shop will be open to view the Historical Society's collection and schoolhouse, as well as the Orange to Derby line model railroad from 3-5 pm.

The Orange Congregation Church Bell Choir will perform in the church sanctuary from 4-5 pm. 

Case Memorial Library will host performances from the Amity Chamber Singers from 3:45-4 pm and Al deCant from 4-4:45 pm. 

An ice carving demonstration will take place in front of the Clark Building from 3-5 pm.  The Tree Lighting will take place at 5:30 pm and Santa Claus will arrive shortly after to visit with the children. 

Festivities will end at 6:00 pm.
