“Let’s Go Green” Goes Public
Last Spring, students from all four of Orange’s elementary schools performed in the production of an important and timely music video, “Let’s Go Green.” The music video resulted from the collaborative vision of Tom George, Chair of the Orange Recycling Committee, and Al deCant, the video’s composer and director, in an effort to convey to our children and the wider community the importance of single-stream recycling. Currently, Orange recycles only about 20% of its recyclable products.
The video was produced by HawkHill Media, as a public service announcement. The children’s message is clear: our Orange community needs to increase our recycling efforts, and single-stream recycling makes that easy. Recyclable materials, such as newspaper, magazines, glass, steel, aluminum, and plastic are placed, unsorted, in one recycling bin and picked up curbside every week.
Look for the music video to air on OGAT, Cable Channel 79.
