While setting up for the Orange Business expo.......

At 8:45 this morning I was excited  to get over to High Plains community center and set up my booth for the Orange business expo. I love running into old friends setting up their booth and seeing some new faces. I was greeted by many teenagers from our town willing to help carry in and assist with the set up. The best part of the day so far..... the visitors that sneak in a little early ( looking for the free goodies, possibly?) that love to chat. The first gentleman I engaged told me he has lived in Orange for 63 years and owns the first house on his street. The next "young" lady shared proudly she has lived in Orange 58 years and raised all her children here and now her grandchildren live here too. Just before I scooted out a young lady whom I recognized from graduating Amity with her brother shared with me her parents are still here and she too lives in Orange and couldnt imagine living anywhere else. From those conversations I headed to my car to pick up a few items and noticed Jim Ronai and his volunteers already seeting up for the Orange elementary school Olympics to be held this afternoon. I quickly checked my phone and saw GAMES ARE ON! ( Baseball update!) since it stopped raining. I sat for a few minutes reflecting on the commmnuity I live in, from business expos, to incredible volunteers and a fantastic parks and rec department. I love this town and today was a great reminder why! If you get a chance stop by High Plains Community Center today and support the many businesses that support our great town, not your thing? Come cheer on the games this afternoon at the Olympics or stop by the Old Tavern baseball fields tonight.... you just may run into some old friends or make some new ones.
