Police News: Recent Arrests
Two drunken driving incidents and a family dispute reported.
Drunken driving
Patrol officers were dispatched to the United Illuminating construction site at 100 Marsh Hill Road, on a report of a traffic accident, Feb. 4 at 4:24 a.m.
According to police, officers found a car stuck on a cement slab.
The driver, Jeffrey Seymour, 32, of 15 Lyon Ridge Road, Kotonha, NY, reportedly failed standardized roadside sobriety tests and was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI).
Seymour was released on $40 bond for court Feb. 14.
While on patrol, Orange police officers came upon a car that was stopped in the left turn lane on the Boston Post Road, eastbound, on Jan. 29 at 9:40 p.m.
According to the report, Sean Mullen, 32, of 75 Redwood Drive, East Haven was asleep at the wheel.
Officers administered roadside sobriety tests and Mullen was charged with DUI and driving without a license.
He was released on $40 bond for court Feb. 14.
Dispute
Police were dispatched to a home on Orange Center Road for a dispute complaint Jan. 30 at 9:38 p.m.
Investigation revealed that Judith Byrnes, 45, of 630 Orange Center Road, had caused a disturbance with other residents at the home.
She was charged with disorderly conduct and released on $50 bond for court Jan. 31.
