Got Snow? Early Predictions A Little Off

A large storm system moved slowly across the southeastern United States this morning, but as of 2:30 a.m. there was still no white stuff in Orange.

Orange may or may not receive a reminder that it is indeed winter.

Overnight snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible, the National Weather Service (NWS) reports.

The NWS forecasts "a chance of snow before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 1 - 4 p.m., followed by a slight chance of snow after 4 p.m."

Saturday has a high of 40 degrees. Temperatures are expected to return to the unseasonably high mid-40s next week.

The NSW predicts the next chance of snow will be on Tuesday.
