Battle of The Bands Final Competition Today

Two Amity Bands are competing for the top prize at Toads Place this afternoon.

Today's the day, the Battle of the Bands Final competition takes place at Toad’s Place  from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10.

The bands are judged on three areas: talent, originality and audience participation, so the boys are urging members of the Amity community to come out and cheer them on.

The ultimate winners receive recording time, a cash prize and will have one of their songs played on WPLR.

Bethwood Patch recently featured Amity Regional High School students Pat Williams of Woodbridge, Tyler Ryan, James Bonvicini and Aaron O’Niel from Orange, and Rob Zielinski of Bethany and their alternative rock band Terra Firma during their climb to the finals.

Terra Firma plays today at 3:30 p.m.

They will compete against Indecent Exposure, a Hair/Glam/Sleeze Metal band playing 80s influenced hair metal [Motley Crue, Sid Row, Van Halen, Ratt, Dokken, etc.]

Austin Jaser, Luke Barone and Ed Mandeville "try their hardest to put on a crazy show and give their audience a great time."

The members are from Orange and Woodbridge. Visit their Facebook page to hear them perform the song, "You've Got Trouble."

The third band competing for the title is The Monumentos from Guilford.  Visit their My Space page to hear their music and see a video
